Hypnosis in Hospitals

For those who are healing:

Hypnosis is a trememdously effective way to invigorate the healing process. Because the subconscious is in charge of the bodily functions there are many different ways in which speaking directly to the subconscious can help to heal the body. One of the main techniques for healing is to guide the person to find their own visualizations of physical mending. Using this technique the patient feels empowered to become part of the process of healing rather than a helpless bystander. The mind joins with the body along the path to health. Often the patient is already spending much of the day in a hypnotic state as they lie in bed midway between sleeping and waking. After the sessions they can practice the visualizations they learn to continue to encourage the subconscious toward health.

For those who are passing:

Regardless of religion or spiritual beliefs we are all part of the cycle of life and death. A hypnotic session for those on the way toward leaving the body encourages identification with this cycle. These sessions often use the imagery of the ocean, the sun and moon, plants and stars to give the person the connection to the outside world that they may be missing in their sickroom. Feeling this connection brings a sense of ease to the natural process of dying. Often the focus on personal relationships precludes this connection, but once the strong memories of the natural world are brought in they bring a sense of relief. This type of session is appropriate at all different levels of awareness, from those who are lucid to those who are not-- the subconsious is always aware to some degree and can benefit from natural world imagery.

Booking a Hospital Visit

Because this type of hypnosis is generally given as a gift to a loved one there are some general guidelines to help it move along smoothly. Certainly a healing session is more meaningful than flowers, and due to this it will take a little more effort on your part.

If you are considering having me come in, if possible, you should first run the idea by the patient. The sessions are more along the lines of a guided meditation and they will simply be listening to my voice for a period of time. I will mostly be providing imagery to help them along their path.

The fee for a hospital visit is $100 per hour with a one hour minimum. This hour begins when I arrive at the facility at the scheduled time; any time spent waiting to see the patient is included in the visit time. This being said, it is your responsibility to make sure that I have access to the patient at the allotted time. Different facilities have different rules for who can visit and when, it is up to you to make sure that I am there at the appropriate time for access to the patient. If for some reason I am unable to visit the patient you will be charged for my travel time. Otherwise travel time is included in my fee for Baltimore and the surrounding areas within about 20 minutes of Baltimore. If I must travel further than that then there will be an extra fee.

I am available to visit all types of facilities including hospitals, hospices, and homes. Please be sure to have ready specific directions for which part of the facility I should enter when I arrive.
