Energy Awareness

Over many years of working with clients it has become apparent that many people are unaware of their personal energy field and don't know how to clear or protect it. Many empathic people are especially prone to holding other's energies within their fields and become exhausted or detached. I have developed Energy Awareness sessions as way to address this wide-ranging issue. We approach the idea of energy in a very simple way: each of us is a light inhabiting a body. I like to refer to this light as our “lifespark”, that part of us which just “IS”, separate from thoughts, actions, and feelings. When we die this lifespark is meant to leave the body and move into the light or tunnel that appears. All over the world in many cultures studies, including our own, people who have a NDE (near death experience) report a light or tunnel that they notice upon leaving the body. For clarity I like to call this light the “cosmic light” and it is the place we focus on when helping energies to be released from the body.

When we recognize that we have a light within our bodies it is also easy to notice that this light creates an energetic field, just as a lightbulb shines light into the nearby area. Ideally this field would be clear; shining only with our own lifespark energy. Sadly, this is rarely the case. Because there is so much focus in current society on the material body and our thoughtstream there is very little attention paid to our energy field. Even those who maintain a very healthy body can have an unhealthy energetic field. This lack of awareness causes many people to allow other energies into their field. These energies disrupt the field, causing the person to feel cloudy and worn down. It is as though a shade is put over the lightbulb. People who are empathic (prone to noticing other's feelings more than their own) are especially vulnerable to picking up energies. When a person collects a lot of other energies in their field they often feel “stuck” or “blocked” no matter what they do to improve themselves or their lives. The person with a disrupted field can barely sense their own light under the multitude of shades around it. This disruptive energy can effect a person's thoughts, actions, feelings, and physical sensations while creating a sense of disconnection within the self.

Energy Awareness (EA) is a collection of simple techniques for maintaining the personal energy field. Every person can do this, one does not have to be intuitive or specially gifted to notice their own light inside. EA is in part based on Dr. William Baldwin's groundbreaking Spirit Releasement method. EA builds upon this method by incorporating techniques for reclaiming the energy field. If the field is cleared but not reclaimed then is will be disrupted again.

EA focuses on three areas:

*Releasing energies from the field

*Reconnecting with the younger self that let the energies in

*Reclaiming and maintaining the personal energy field.

If you are wondering if you could become more aware of your energy field the answer is probably yes! Even those who are well-acquainted with energy work are often unaware of the disruptive energies within their fields because it is so easy to interpret them as “me” rather than “other”. A simple readiness to become more aware of yourself is all that is necessary, it is easy to sense your own inner light once you make space for this awareness.

Some common indicators of a clogged field are:

-chronic low energy

-a feeling of “stuckness” or being blocked

-Strong inner voices that are critical or negative

-recurring physical sensations such as “getting choked up” or areas of chronic pain

-past intuitive abilities that have been lost

-internal “chatter” that makes it difficult to relax or focus

-a general feeling of being physically cold

-a tendency to be more aware of others than yourself

-an intense nervousness or fear when you consider the idea of energies connected to you that are not your own

-poor memory that leads to confusion

-impulsivity

-a history of trauma, abuse, or areas of memory that have been blacked out

EA can be done in one session as well as many sessions. To begin to clear the field EA focuses on physical sensations which are easily sensed by the client. We then use dialogue to help release these sensations in a kind and loving way. It tends to be that as one layer of energy is released it takes time for you to begin to reconnect with and reclaim your energy field. As the sense of your inner light grows you may notice other areas that become agitated or uncomfortable and ready for release. It become easier and happens more quickly as you develop your awareness. After some familiarity with EA and a sense of how it feels to have a clear energetic field you can learn to release energies on your own.
